Vertical sundial in the small (upper) cloister of the Franciscan monastery of the Little Brothers. Fra Stipe Nosić says the following about the sundial:

The clock was made by Fra Paško Baletin (1715 - 1792). The sundial was restored in 2012, and on it, along with Fr. Paško's initials, the hitherto invisible Latin inscription appeared again: "Solis iter signans metitur tempora ab illo disce fugam rapidi temporis et pretium". The inscription was translated by Nedjeljko Subotić, who lived as a Franciscan in this monastery for a while, while the inscription was still invisible, as follows: "This meridian measures time by recording the path of the sun. Learn from it about the value and speed of the racing time." The restoration of the sundial was done by the restorer and painter Ana Požar Piplica.

We thank Fr. Stipe Nosić for the provided text and photographs.
